St Peter's Church New Electoral Roll - To be presented on Tuesday 8th April 2025

2025 is the year when a new Electoral Roll needs to be created. This happens every six years to update information and give anyone who would like to included a chance to go on the new Electoral Roll.

This entitles you to attend the Annual Parochial Church Council Meeting, to vote for elected members of the PCC and to stand for election as a member of the PCC. It also confers the right to be married in the church.  Our parish church is one of architectural interest and is open daily for visitors, providing a peaceful space for contemplation.  It is an essential part of our rural community, marking events both in the Christian calendar and our own lives.

Membership is free.  You need to be:  16 or over, baptised, and a communicant member of the Church of England (or a church in communion with the Church of England) and either (a) resident in the parish or (b) habitually having attended worship in the six months to March 2025.

I will be contacting all those presently on the Electoral Roll to ask them to complete an Enrolment Form if they wish to remain on and would encourage anyone else who would like to join to fill in, sign and scan/email to me (or pop in my mail box) the attached Enrolment Form by the 23rd March.

The new Electoral Roll will be presented at the Annual Parochial Church Council Meeting in Shepton Montague Village Hall on Tuesday 8th April.
