Notification from The Newt Community Liaison Officer; Upcoming work planned at the triangle junction

Shepton Montague Parish Council have been asked to share The Newt's plans for some upcoming planned works being carried out at the triangle junction:

Remove the remnants of the old hedge and damaged estate railings.

Level and improve the ground with clean soil.

Sow grass with a wildflower mix.

Reinstate the estate railings.

The goal is a simple, well-kept junction that looks better and is safer for everyone. It’s also worth noting that although the old hedge here will go, we have a large programme of hedge planting planned across the Estate this winter.

We’d like to begin soon as it is the right season for grass sowing. I wanted to share this update with you ahead of the work starting so that everyone is informed.
